This is
something we know an awful lot about. It’s the basis for the whole company…… Leaflet
Distribution. So naturally we know a lot about this subject. You wouldn’t
believe how many different type there are. The first thing that you have to
consider when choosing which leaflets to distribute is the size.
Of course there are many different sizes to choose from, I mean how long is a
piece of string? You can have Flyers printed in many different shapes,
and in fact lots of different companies now provide a bespoke service.
If you want it square, rectangular, round, egg shaped no problem. Like a bunny,
or a carrot, or a house or a cat, or a dog…… No problem. How about and
aeroplane? No problem! You get the idea. Obviously there are some price
implications when getting specially shaped leaflets printed, and this is
mainly to do with the cutting of each piece. The more complex the design,
the more difficult it is to make and therefore takes long and will cost you
more money. Speak to us about your exact requirements and we will get a quote
over for you. Once we have them printed we are ready to start your Door to
door Direct mail campaign, and that’s our favourite part. We love Door
drops here at JogPost.
So if you
haven’t decided on a special bespoke printing you will have gone with
one of the more conventional sizes. You will recognise these – A1, A2, A3, A4,
A5, A6, and there are others such as DL witch is a rectangular size exactly one
third of an A4. We can also make folded leaflets for you if you so
require. Many different companies use folded printing, and a good example of
this is Indian and Chinese takeaway companies. These guys typically have and A4
flyer folded twice so it is in three parts. One ting to bare In mind is
these folded variations are heavier than you might think. Especially if you go
with a thick paper. These leads us nicely onto the gsm on the flyer. Gsm
stands for grams per square metre. This is what dictates the thickness. Normal printing
paper is not often used in distribution is usually 80 gsm. The
lightest and thinnest usually used is 135, and this usually goes up to 170,
then 250 and then 300. 300 gsm is a lot like a post card.
So now you
have the shape, size and thickness of your flyers now all you need to
decide on is the finish. There are typically three different types to choose
from; Matt is the type that doesn’t shine, just like normal printer paper.
Gloss is the shiny version of Matt, a typical finish and often
cheaper than Matt. The last is Silk this is somewhere in between
and is the cheapest of the three. Direct marketing distributor printing
is a very complicated subject, if you have any further questions please call us
